Spotted on 'WHERE'S MY TENT?'

Back in August I finally crossed paths with festival enthusiast and blogger, Jessi while trading at Shambala. Jessi runs WHERE'S MY TENT?, a blog about festivals with a focus on music, style and sustainability within the industry. This (biodegradable) glitter clad beaUTY has been high on my 'hope to meet list' since i first discovered her on instagram and realised my colourful, statement tassel earrings were destined for these earlobes!

After much outfit admiration (she's a big fan of Burnt Soul catsuits) and swapping of festival recommendations, Jessi headed off into the crowds with a new long, tassel, pendant necklace.

Happy customers Emily and Astrid. Jessi in her pendant necklace.

Just a few weeks ago Jessi got in touch asking if i'd be interested in being featured on her blog . . . to which i of course said YES PLEASE.

The article is now live on blog, and I have added some highlights below.

An interview with dAKOTA rAE dUST by Jessi WHERE'S MY TENT?

Jessi - WHAT WOULD YOU SAY THE CONNECTION IS BETWEEN DAKOTA RAE DUST AND FESTIVALS?

Bec - hmmm probably the joy of dressing up. My partner calls my wardrobe ‘the fancy dress rail’.  I have always loved colour and texture, and the idea of using clothing to escape. Festivals are all about escaping normal life and for a short time living in a wild and creative playground, surrounded by people who all have the same purpose… to explore and have fun. I hope my work captures some of this feeling. Wearing something fun, bright and unique, feeling like you have discovered something special.

Jessi - WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE FESTIVAL AND WHY?

Bec - OOOO thats a hard one . . . i haven’t been to Glastonbury for absolutely YEARS but that was my first proper festival and it bLEW MY MIND! I felt like i’d travelled to a whole new country after just an hour on the bus. You can’t really beat Glastonbury. Boomtown is also amazing! i’ve only been twice but the creativity involved in incredible. I definitely like a festival that offers more than just music. I like being transported to an alternative reality.

That's all i can share here, You'll have to pop over to Jessi's blog to read the rest.

ps she picked a lilac pair of TASSEL EARRINGS and looks bloody gorgeous in them!
