Dangly charm earrings in neon coral and light blue by dakota rae dust.
Suspended from a small circular stud, each earring component is articulated with a metal jump ring to give plenty of movement and satisfying swing.
This pair of dangly charm earrings have been laser cut from recycled navy jersey and neon sari fabric. Then printed with light blue and navy vinyl patterns, and adorned with navy, light blue and neon coral fabric ‘sequins’.
Each circular stud measures 2cm x 2cm and the full earring roughly 7cm long by 3cm wide.
The stud posts and backs are made from surgical steel, making them a good choice for anyone with sensitive ears or a nickel allergy. The jump rings are stainless steel for minimal tarnishing.
FABRIC ‘SEQUINS’, JANGLING CHARMS is a collection of colourful, statement jewellery by dakota rae dust.
Designer Bec continues her quest to repurpose charity shop fabric finds and donated textile offcuts. Adding bold vinyl prints and laser cut fabric ‘sequins’ to create playful hair accessories, colourful earrings and statement necklaces.
The neon coral fabric seen in these dangly charm earrings was once a sari. Brought in India and made into a kimono style jacket by a tailor in Kolkata, Bec bought the unused offcuts back and recycled them in these colourful earrings.
Every fabric used in this collection has been backed for durability and each laser cut component is finished with a fabric backing, meaning this bold and colourful jewellery looks just as good from behind.
