The fan and frill, droplet shape components in these colour popping neon tasselled earrings swing below teardrop shape studs. This construction means the earrings have plenty of movement, optimising the rainbow reflections on those iridescent jewels.
JEWELLED is a collection of colourful statement jewellery featuring recycled textiles and iridescent and colourful gems. The layered, vinyl printed fabric components were inspired by costume jewellery.
RECYCLED FABRICS
EVERY fabric in this pair of Statement jewel earrings has been repurposed. The neon green fabric seen in these dangly charm earrings was once a sari. Brought in India and made into a kimono style jacket by a tailor in Kolkata, the unused offcuts were brought home, washed and re-used. The navy and light blue patterned cotton (used to back each earring component) was found in a friend’s charity shop pile.
About the Statement jewel tassel earrings –
Despite their size, being fabric these earrings are relatively light weight and easy to wear – Please note the iridescent jewels are glass so weigh slightly more than the acrylic gems used in previous collections.
These oversize dangly earrings fasten with surgical steel studs and butterfly backs, making them a good choice for anyone with sensitive ears.
Each earring measures roughly 16cm high by 5.5cm wide .
