Like the larger Statement jewel earrings these mini jewel earrings feature luxury glass jewels, articulated components and the same vinyl printed detail, but in a more wearable, everyday size.
The peacock green, neon pink and light blue crinkle cut droplet shape components in these colourful dangly earrings swing below teardrop shape studs. This construction means the earrings have plenty of movement, optimising the sparkle on those iridescent jewels. The round iridescent jewels used in the earrings change from an olive green to a pinky red depending on the angle they are viewed from.
JEWELLED is a collection of colourful statement jewellery featuring recycled textiles and iridescent and colourful gems. It’s layered, vinyl printed fabric components were inspired by costume jewellery.
Secondhand Fabric
While the vinyl backing and decorative prints are new ALL the fabrics used in this pair of earrings are secondhand. The fronts of the earrings have been cut from a peacock green silky skirt of a damaged vintage party dress and the backs have been cut from navy blue patterned fabric off cuts. All secondhand fabrics are machine washed before being repurposed.
About the mini jewel earrings –
Being mainly fabric these earrings are light weight and easy to wear.
They fasten with surgical steel studs and butterfly backs, making them a good choice for anyone with sensitive ears.
Each dangly earring measures roughly 5.5xm x 2.5cm .
