The layered, vinyl printed fabric, laser cut jewellery components were inspired by costume jewellery. Design benefits
The patterned bright blue and iridescent gold fan and frill, droplet shape components in this luxurious statement bib necklace sit on a light blue jersey fabric covered base and are adorned with teardrop shaped emerald green jewels. Each jewel and laser cut fabric component is stitched on by hand.
This necklace fastens with a bright blue cotton cord meaning it’s length is adjustable.
***This is a next generation oversize bib necklace and features a neat fabric backing to hide the reverse of the vinyl backed base. This gives it a more finished, tidier look.
Featuring vintage / secondhand fabrics
The lime green fabric used in the four laser cut, teardrop components in this statement bib necklace was once a sari. I brought it in India and had a loose jacket made by a tailor then used the leftover offcuts in my jewellery making, ensuring nothing went to waste. The fabric was machine washed and repurposed in this incredibly colourful, one-off piece of statement jewellery.
