Models Leony and Cidella are wearing their Statement jewel earrings with a fringed, long sleeve crop top by L.O.M fashion. The fan and frill, droplet shape components in these pretty pastel earrings swing below teardrop shape studs. This construction means the earrings have plenty of movement, optimising the rainbow reflections on those teardrop shaped iridescent jewels. JEWELLED is a collection of colourful statement jewellery featuring recycled textiles and iridescent and colourful gems. The layered, vinyl printed fabric components were inspired by costume jewellery. EVERY fabric in this pair of Statement jewel earrings is recycled. The pale blue shirt fabric, navy T-shirt jersey and vintage floral curtain fabric (used to back each earring component) were all sourced in local charity shops before being washed and repurposed in these colourful earrings.About the Statement jewel earrings –
Despite their size, being fabric these earrings are relatively light weight and easy to wear – Please note the iridescent jewels are glass so weigh slightly more than the acrylic gems used in previous collections. These dangly earrings fasten with surgical steel studs and butterfly backs, making them a good choice for anyone with sensitive ears. Each earring measures roughly 8cm high by 5.5cm wide . Fabric jewellery is extremely light weight, meaning even large statement pieces can be worn comfortably but they do require a little care. I recommend storing your jewellery flat in a box to avoid any components getting bent or creased. Please avoid contact with water and perfume as this may mark the fabric or printed areas.
